Download the Echorank browser extension

Google and Facebook don't offer a "download my reviews" button. The Echorank extension reads your reviews straight off the page and sends them to your dashboard — where each one is scored for sentiment and risk automatically.

Install

Five steps, any Chromium browser

The extension installs as an unpacked extension — a normal, supported way to load extensions that aren't in a web store. It needs one browser setting flipped on.

1

Download and unzip

Use the button above, then unzip the file into a folder you'll keep — for example Documents/echorank-extension. Your browser loads the extension from that folder every time it starts, so don't delete or move it afterward.

2

Open your browser's extensions page

Type the address for your browser into the address bar:

BrowserAddressDeveloper mode toggle

Bravebrave://extensionsTop-right corner
Edgeedge://extensionsLeft sidebar
Operaopera://extensionsTop-right corner
Vivaldivivaldi://extensionsTop-right corner
3

Turn on Developer mode

Flip the Developer mode toggle (see the table above for where it sits). New buttons appear at the top of the page.

4

Load unpacked

Click Load unpacked and select the folder you unzipped in step 1. The Echorank extension appears in your list — the install is done.

5

Connect your account

Click the puzzle-piece icon in your toolbar and pin Echorank. Then open the Extension page in your Echorank dashboard, copy your access token, and paste it into the extension's settings. Hit save — you're connected.

"Disable developer mode extensions" notice? Your browser may show this when it starts. That's normal for unpacked extensions — dismiss it and the extension keeps working.

FAQ

Common questions

Where do I get my Echorank access token?

On the Extension page of your Echorank dashboard. Sign in, open Extension in the left menu, and copy the token shown there — then paste it into the extension's settings and save.

My browser shows "Disable developer mode extensions" — is something wrong?

No. Browsers show this notice for any unpacked extension. Dismiss it and the extension keeps working normally.

Which browsers are supported?

Chromium browsers: Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera and Vivaldi. Firefox and Safari are not supported. If you use one of those, the CSV import on the Data Sources page is your path.

Can I delete the unzipped folder after installing?

No — your browser loads the extension from that folder every time it starts. Keep it somewhere permanent, like Documents/echorank-extension. If you move it, re-run Load unpacked from the new location.

The extension says the page is not supported.

The extension reads reviews from recognized page layouts, such as your Google Business listing or your Facebook business page. On pages it doesn't recognize, import is disabled by design. Use the CSV import on the Data Sources page instead — the import guide walks you through it.

Is the access token safe to paste into the extension?

Yes — the token links the extension to your account only, and imports run over an encrypted connection. Treat it like a password: don't share it, and if it's ever exposed you can rotate it from the Extension page in your dashboard.

How do I update the extension?

Download the latest zip from this page, unzip it over your existing folder (or into a new one), then on your browser's extensions page click the reload icon on the Echorank card — or remove it and Load unpacked again.
